La Gomera - join me for a joint! You could certainly do this on the "wildest of the canary islands" but there are another possibilities to kill the time there? Getting sun-baked on the beach is none of them, I guess. Yes, there are some beaches around that would do for a day or two, but the real option is hiking or biking. Since there is only one official camping site around, day-trips should be favoured. A rental car is also nice to have (it's not impossible without), and an early reservation for both rental car and accomodation is recommended. Then one can basically start off with a light backpack, containing enough water for the day trip and probably some rain clothes.

El Drago (dragon tree), Ermita San Isidor
Jardin de Las Creces and Cercado (close to Las Hayas)
Roque Agando - Degollada del Tanque - La Laja - Mirador Degollada de Peraza - Roque Agando
Climbing Fortaleza
Imada - Eretos - Casita Olson - Imada
Cuevos Blancos
Boat trip to Los Organos
